To re-enable location services, this must be done from the iPad’s settings app on your home screen.

tried the free version. One problem:
Photos imported via iTunes seem to be shown in random order. Cannot reorganize them. Is there any way of sorting them by date / name?
Hi dev. Thank you for making such a great app, powerful yet simple. I’m 99% satisfied with it, however the one think I would like to request if I may is that you maybe add a different look to the initial screen where the pin/pw goes. Please don’t get me wrong. The app is great but it could look cooler if maybe say you added an actual vault look. Or maybe some high tech type of dot lights that beep when entering the pw. And making themes as such would be a HUGE plus to this app. I know tons of people would rush to get it because personal customization is everything when working side by side with an already established, powerful and simple app.
I’ll quit rambling on but could you at least consider it? I’ll check my email soon for your reply. Thanks again for the great app bro.

At the moment, there is no way to change slideshow length, however, this will be available in the next app update.

At the moment, there is no way to control photo order with names. The next update will fix the iTunes album ordering problem by keeping them in the order that you add them.

I posted the below question under Vault Version 3 in March, and then again in May, maybe I am doing it incorrectly? but did not receive a reply, I have tried it again with the latest version i.e. 4.0 and the same problem occurs. Ie photos display and work fine on my iPhone but not iPad(1), both have the latest OS as well??????
Any ideas?

I have been having some trouble recently though (since purchasing the product) when running on my iPad, I import the photos okay via iTunes, but when I go to scroll thru them the app crashes on about the 3rd photo.. I tried moving them to a new album etc, same thing happens.
I have been trying different directories from my computer and it seems to be file size related?
when I attack files sizes of greater than 1.1 GB, it seems to then cause the crashing?
Is there a file size limit I should be aware of?
this same problem does not seem to occur on the iPhone as I have just tested it…???

I just accessed my vault for the first time in about two weeks and it is waaaay different. It’s asking for a 4digit password that I don’t know. My original pw was 6digits and then an individual pw per folder.
Please tell me I have not lost these pics and that there is a quick fix.

When I try the WiFi transfer I only see an option to import, no export.
I am using Safari on a MacAir and Photo Vault upgraded.

If I back up my Ipad photos to the cloud, will the photos in the locked Photo Vault be backed up as well, or will only the photos in the Ipad’s photo app be backed up?
I don’t want the photos in the locked Photo Vault to be backed up on the cloud.

Please add “sort by” capability. Seeing photos out of order is weird. Also like to be able to select multiple files when using wireless synching. Adding one at a time is painful. Keep up the good work. I like your app a lot.
I have already upgraded to private photo vault Pro, but unexpected occurences deleted the app. Upon redownloading it, it will not let me restore my purchases.

The next update will fix the random order of photos in the Shared Album.

In order to restore your previous purchase, go through the same process to purchase the app that you did the first time. It will go through the same purchasing process, but it will then tell you that you have already purchased this item and that you can download it again for free.

When i start photo vault, the keypad shows but before I can input my pass code the screen goes, completely blank. Please help, I do not want to lose all my photos.
Hi. Great app, but…I turned on break-in report just to test and see that it takes my picture every time I access the app. Any way to delete these pics?!
Yes, you can swipe across on an image and it will give you the option to delete it.
In the next update, it will be clearer on how to delete images.

If your iPad is setup to backup to the cloud, it will also backup all of your app’s data to the cloud as well.
I believe that you can individually disable backup for an app in iCloud’s settings however.

You can get the photos off of the wireless photo transfer by right clicking on a file name and then saving it to your computer.

Private Photo Vault has never allowed an entry PIN longer than 4 numbers. Maybe you are thinking of your iPhone’s default password.

i had lost my ipod touch and then found it and it was lost for a couple of months and i forgot the password and im wondering if there is any way to reset it
The app is great! Thought I’d try the dot code lock and it worked smoothly. After a few days, I realised that I preferred the original number code. After changing the settings the app crashes right after putting in the code :/ Im not sure if it’s because I changed the setting or if it is just the update that is making my ipod touch crash

Sorry you are having problems. I haven’t heard of this occurring before. However, if it is crashing, I recommend restarting your device.

For security reasons, there is no way to recover your passcode. The app prompts you to send a backup of your password to your email the first time you use it, so you can check that.

I have tried restarting my iPod touch and still haven’t had any luck. Not sure if this matters but it allows me to enter my code, it unlocks, then a pop up asking me to rate the app shows up right before/as it crashes. I appreciate your quick responses to the posts!

i cant access my photos because it’s suddenly crashing. it is allowing me to enter my password but after that it will just suddenly crash and closes the app again i really need to access my photos. it is just the free version. please help…..

sorry for sending lots of messages but i just wanted to share that i was able to access my photos now. yessss! finally!
i turned off my wi-fi and my notifications then tried accessing the vault, it opened! yahooo!
so i copied all the photos instead and exported them again so that i could just send them to my email via pc.
i cant send them whenever the data is active because it crashes everytime.

Great job finding a solution to the problem. However, I would like to make this a non-issue for all Private Photo Vault users. Could you tell me what device you have and what iOS version you have(This can be found in Settings->General->About->Version)?

Yes, you can delete the photos by swiping across an image, then tapping delete. In the next update, this will be easier.

I bought the free version a few months ago and paid for the upgrade. Today a saw in the app store what was called the Pro version which says has video support. I purchased it thinking it was better but seems to be the same thing as what I already paid for. Both version 4. Original is 4.1 and new is 4.5. Did I pay twice for nothing? Don’t see anything about video in the new version.

Thanks for tip on the breakin report it worked fine. Now I have a problem with http://192.168.1.132:8080 safari says it can’t connect to the server. It worked Saturday night and Sunday morning, but not since. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, great app! When I added all of my folders originally I did it alphabetically so I could look for things fast. Now I have added new folders how can I make them alphabetically again? Adding them all again now would literally take days
