Private Photo Vault v2.01

Private Photo Vault v2.0 was just released yesterday and had a severe bug which is causing crashes on all devices.

This bug has been fixed in v2.01.  v2.01 is currently waiting for review by apple and should hopefully be in the app store very shortly.

UPDATE

V2.01 is now available in the app store.

    Brandon,

I am sorry you were charged three times. However, I don’t believe that you should have been charged any extra times. If you upgraded via the In App Purchase, apple will only charge you a single time no matter how many times you make the purchase.

The same follows for if you purchased Private Photo Vault Pro.

  2. I made the mistake of not setting the location of my photos and now I can’t import from my library it tells me to go to settings and click on the location service but that option isn’t there. How do I fix this? Please help

  3. William Sidell says:

    Gennie,

To get to settings to enable location services, go to the settings for your device, not within the app.

Then depending on the version of your OS, it will either be on that screen and called location services or General–>Location services.

Hi, I’m using os5 and the app crashes every time i try opening a password protected folder or delete a folder.

an update would be greatly appreciated.

    Abdulrahman,

You are correct, however, iOS 5 is in beta and has many bugs, it is practically impossible to make an app work for iOS 5 as they are constantly changing things in every release. However, when iOS 5 has a RC, you can expect to see an update.

    Peter,

    Syncing with iTunes:

    1. In order to sync with iTunes you must have any photos that you want to transfer to iTunes in the iTunes Shared Directory in Private Photo Vault.
    2. Open iTunes and select your device
    3. Select the Apps tab
    4. Scroll down to File Sharing
    5. Select Private Photo Vault
    6. Drag and Drop files to and from Private Photo Vault

Thanks William, I’ll be waiting for your future release

  10. Hi. I have imported some photos, but they still show up in the normal photo browser :( what should I do?

  11. William Sidell says:

    Charlie,

The way Apple has set things up, apps have no ability to remove photos from your camera roll. However, if you delete the photos in the camera roll, they will still be available in Private Photo Vault.

  12. I have forgotten the password to one of my albums (but not the pwd to the main app). How do I retrieve it? Cheers! Dom

  13. William Sidell says:

    Dom,

I apologize, but there is no way to recover any PINs or passwords from Private Photo Vault.

  14. I have the free version and I can create new folders, I just don’t know how to import pictures that folder. I can do it from my photo library, but not from the sync’d images in the iTunes Shared Directory in Private Photo Vault. Is there a way to do that?

  15. William Sidell says:

    Bryce,

What you can do to import photos from the iTunes Shared Directory to the rest of the app is go into the iTunes Shared Directory and click the edit button, select the photos you want in another album and then click move.
