Private Photo Vault v2.0 was just released yesterday and had a severe bug which is causing crashes on all devices.
This bug has been fixed in v2.01. v2.01 is currently waiting for review by apple and should hopefully be in the app store very shortly.

Have version 2.01. Still crashes when try to open albums. Can’t change main pin either. Is there an upgrade ? I love this program before this. Please contact me.
Why did my post get skipped and unresponded to? Same problem here Tess.
Edward,
I apologize on not getting back to you the first time. There is an update that will come out soon that will hopefully fix your problems.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
Tess,
I have been unable to replicate this problem myself during my own testing but I have created an update that may fix your problems. If not, the new version automatically sends crash reports in the even that a crash occurs so I will be able to fix the application in another update.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you
Just downloaded the 2.5 update. My first album still crashes upon trying to open that album.
Is there any Other way of getting my photos back?
Edward,
I believe I have fixed the problem causing Private Photo Vault to crash and would like you to test it out and see if it works.
Could you send me an email wsidell(at)gmail(dot)com. Replace the (at) with @ and (dot) with . This is just to prevent spam from bots crawling plain text on sites.

App still crashes when I try to open the album…..after the recent update.
One of the features in 2.5 is a setting to always open on the album page after exit. but how do you EXIT. I don’t find an exit button. If I just leav the app to another then reopen Photo Vault it opens where I left it.
I am using the free version for test on iPad 2.
Hi John,
I just checked on my iPad 2 and the feature appears to be working.
The feature makes it return to the album list whenever you close the app, enter multitasking, etc.
Double check to make sure Album Exit is set to on in settings. If it is on, enter an album tap the iPad’s home button. When reopening the app, the Album list should be visible.

I am in the process of sending an update to apple that will fix this problem. Until then, I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi I love this app would be great if you could rearrange the photos within the album to create the perfect album/ slideshow
Many thanks love the app
Henry
I downloaded to free version then upgraded to pro version, now the update won’t load and I’m getting the message that I must purchase the pro version to update. Please fix or tell me how to fix, as I will NOT purchase this app again.
Hi, I apologize for the recent problem with the upgrade. If you upgrade again through the app, it will be completely free.
William
Henry,
Thanks for the feedback, I will add that to the list of new things to be added to the app.

I forgot a password to one of my vaults….what can i do? I tried to edit and i tried to delete but its all password protected and even when i can my settings i need a password after that for vault thats already protected
Just upgraded today and about 3/4 of my albums cause the program to crash when I attempt to edit or delete them.
I recently purchased photo vault pro 2.6 and every time I try to import photos into files I get and error message stating error code 3311 ‘user denied access’
Please help!?
Jay,
In version 2.6 of the pro version, I accidentally left out the appropriate error message for that instance. That occurs because the application does not have location access. To import photos, the application requires location access. This is because Apple includes location information with all of your photos. However, the application does not use your location for anything.
William
Rick,
I am not sure what would be causing this problem, but I can look into it. What device are you running Private Photo Vault on?
William
John,
At the moment, there is no way to recover your password. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi when I sync my phone to ITunes will all my photos be stored on a file on the computer? I can’t seem to find them
Becks,
Hi, to sync your photos with iTunes, you have to have the photos in the itunes album in Private Photo Vault. Next, you are able to view these photos via iTunes by clicking on your device, then going to the apps tab and scrolling down to file sharing. In file sharing, Private Photo Vault will be listed, here you will be able to add new files and copy files to your computer.

Hi William,
I forgot one of my album’s password…
Is there any way can solve this problem?
Thanks:)
Peggy,
At the moment, there is no way to recover the password on an album. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Photo Vault 2.6 crashes on importing more than 1 large photos from camera roll. I do copy pics from my canon d550 camera directly to iPad using sd adapter. If I try importing just 1 picture – it works. More than one – crashes on 2nd picture. Always.
Also “Import All” button will be useful, selecting 200+ pics one-by-one is not so much fun.
Hi,
what’s the difference between the free version and the pro version?
Thanks!
Tristan,
Pro version has no ads and you can create unlimited photo albums. You can also upgrade directly from within Private Photo Vault using the upgrade button.
William
Alex,
I have also noticed problems when importing large photos. It is due to too much memory usage. I will do some research into the problem and can hopefully fix the problem.
Thanks for the feedback!
William
Thanks, purchased pro!
After the recent upgrade, the keypad does not come up to enter my password when launching the app on the iPad
Max,
If the keyboard is not coming up, try clicking on one of the boxes where beneath where it says enter your passcode. This should bring the keyboard up.
If this doesn’t work, try quitting the app. Double tap home button, tap and hold private photo vault then click the minus sign.

Just recently began using on iPhone and iPad, love it. However, is there a way to move the photos around within a folder? For example, I may want all the photos from a certain event grouped together or I want a different “profile” photo for an album. If not, is this something that could be incorporated into a future upgrade?
Hi,
I have version 2.6, and paid for upgrade, on my iphone. Great app!
Maybe some of the answers above (and other help)could be included in a much larger “info” section in the app itself.
BTW, what is the itunes shared album? Will this automatically back up the included photos to itunes when I sync my iphone to itunes? If not, what is the best way of backing up these photos in their albums on my PC or itunes?
Agree with above comment: “Import all” icon would be useful!
Thomas,
Thanks for your feedback, I will plan on adding more information to the info section for the next update.
The iTunes Shared Album is used for transferring photos to and from your computer. It is the only album that has contents that are viewable via iTunes.
To sync your photos with iTunes, you have to have the photos in the itunes shared album in Private Photo Vault. Next, you are able to view these photos via iTunes by clicking on your device, then going to the apps tab and scrolling down to file sharing. In file sharing, Private Photo Vault will be listed, here you will be able to add new files and copy files to your computer.
Brent,
At the moment, there is no way to move the photos around within a folder. However, I will consider adding this in a future update.
It appears I’ve inadvertently denied the app access to my camera roll. Keep getting an “Album Error” notification that states as much. Is there anyway to fix this issue?
Thank you,
Marc
Edward,
Please disregard my previous comment/question. I have no idea what I was thinking. I’ve fixed the issue.
Thanks,
Marc
I have created two protected folders and cannot open them. I am sure it is my fault because I did not record the passwords, but now I cannot even remove them without a password. Is there a way to remove the whole thing and restart?
William,
Thanks for the prompt response. I will be looking forward to the future updates.
Great app!
Brent
Hey I recently upgraded to the paid version and I got bill three extra times for it. If u could help me I’d greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
Chuck,
If you want to completely restart, you can delete the app and reinstall it from the app store.
